North Van: Where the Mountains Meet the Sea.

NORTH VANCOUVER

Your Gateway to the Great Outdoors.

Experience the rugged beauty of the West Coast without leaving the city. North Vancouver is the ultimate destination for explorers, athletes, and nature lovers. Nestled at the foot of the North Shore Mountains, our collection puts you minutes away from world-class hiking, skiing, and mountain biking.

From the bustling, artisan energy of Lonsdale Quay and The Shipyards to the quiet, moss-draped trails of Deep Cove, North Vancouver offers a refreshing, alpine-inspired escape. With 13 years of local knowledge, we’ve curated homes that offer the perfect balance of 'Wild BC' and modern urban luxury. Whether you're here to photograph the eagles, forest-bathe in the ancient cedars, or chase mountain sunsets, this isn't just a stay; it’s your base camp for adventure and nature.

Why Choose North Van?

  • The Adventure Basecamp: You are the closest to Grouse Mountain, Seymour, and Cypress. Ski in the morning, be back for lunch.

  • The Shipyards District: Experience Vancouver’s best waterfront patio scene, outdoor skating rinks (winter), and the Friday Night Markets.

  • Breathtaking Air Quality: Trade the city exhaust for the scent of cedar and salt air. It’s noticeably cooler and fresher on the North Shore.

  • The Breweries: Walk the 'North Shore Brewery Trail'—featuring local favorites like Beere Brewing and House of Funk.

  • Direct Highway Access: No downtown gridlock. You are perfectly positioned for day trips to Whistler, Squamish, or Horseshoe Bay.

  • Outdoor Lovers: "The North Shore Edge" Experience the birthplace of world-class mountain biking and legendary hiking. Whether you’re tackling the technical roots of Mt. Fromme, riding the flowy lines of Bobsled, or trekking to St. Mark’s Summit for 'speechless' views of the Howe Sound, you are living in the heart of BC's most iconic nature scenery.

  • A Tale of Two Bridges: Don’t miss the heights! You are minutes from the world-famous Capilano Suspension Bridge and the rugged, local-favorite Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge. From moss-draped rainforests to alpine peaks, this is your ultimate backyard.

FAQ

  • How do I get Downtown?

Getting to the city center is fast, scenic, and flexible. You have three excellent options:

The SeaBus (The Local Favorite): Walk to Lonsdale Quay and hop on the SeaBus. It’s a beautiful 12-minute ferry ride that leaves every 15 minutes, dropping you at Waterfront Station—the gateway to Gastown and the SkyTrain.

By Car or Ride-Share: If you have a vehicle or are using Uber/Lyft, a drive across the Lions Gate Bridge or Ironworkers Memorial Bridge typically takes 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the time of day.

Rapid Transit Buses: North Vancouver is served by the R2 Marine Dr RapidBus, which offers frequent, high-capacity service connecting you to the bridges and major transit hubs across the North Shore.

Host Tip: If you're heading to a 2026 World Cup match at BC Place, we highly recommend the SeaBus. It’s the most stress-free way to reach the stadium district without worrying about bridge traffic or downtown parking!

  • Is North Vancouver better for families?

Absolutely. North Vancouver is the city’s premier choice for families who want a safe, quiet, and active home base. Unlike the hustle of the downtown core, the North Shore offers a relaxed pace with endless ways to keep kids of all ages engaged.

The Great Outdoors: Your kids can go from the beach at Cates Park to mountain biking on the world-class (and kid-friendly) trails of Mount Fromme in the same afternoon.

Water Adventures: Rent a double kayak in Deep Cove for a calm morning on the water, or head to the Shipyards Splash Park in the summer for free waterfront fun.

Parks & Playgrounds: You are minutes from Lynn Canyon, where the suspension bridge and forest trails provide a natural playground. For a rainy day, the Centennial Theatre and local community centers offer year-round family programming.

Safety & Space: Our North Vancouver suites are located in high-end, secure buildings and quiet residential pockets. You’ll enjoy more living space, easier parking, and a true 'neighborhood' feel while still being a scenic ferry ride away from the city action.

Host Tip: If you're visiting in the winter, the Peak of Christmas at Grouse Mountain is a magical experience for kids, featuring reindeer, ice skating, and light walks—all just 10 minutes from your door."

  • Can I get to Whistler or Squamish from here?

Skip the City Traffic: Staying in North Vancouver allows you to bypass the downtown bridges entirely, saving you 20–30 minutes on your journey to the Sea-to-Sky Highway.

Host Tip: This stretch of highway is world-renowned for a reason. On a clear day, the views of the fjords and mountains will leave you speechless—it is truly one of the most breathtaking drives on the planet.

  • Is North Vancouver walkable?

It depends on your 'basecamp' location. Lower Lonsdale is a 10/10 for walkability, putting the SeaBus, local breweries, and the Shipyards right at your doorstep. However, North Vancouver is a vast and vertical landscape—moving between major attractions like Deep Cove, Lynn Canyon, and Grouse Mountain can take 10 to 20 minutes by vehicle.

Host Recommendation: While the R2 RapidBus is excellent for transit, we highly recommend a car or ride-share (Uber/Lyft) to truly explore the North Shore. Having your own wheels allows you to jump from a mountain trailhead to a waterfront beach in minutes, giving you the freedom to see the very best of our 'Large-Scale' backyard."

  • Is there parking?

Almost all of our North Van properties include dedicated private parking or easy, free street access.

  • Is it easy to ski while staying in Vancouver?

Absolutely—in fact, North Vancouver is the skiing capital of the city. You are positioned at the base of the 'Local Three' mountains: Grouse Mountain, Mt. Seymour, and Cypress Mountain.

The 15-Minute Rule: Depending on which of our North Shore suites you choose, you can be at the lodge of Grouse or Seymour in about 15 minutes.

Night Skiing: A local favorite! All three mountains offer incredible night skiing, allowing you to carve down the slopes while looking at the glowing lights of the Vancouver skyline below.

Whistler Access: If you’re looking for the big mountain experience, staying in North Van puts you 30 minutes closer to Whistler Blackcomb than if you stayed downtown, allowing you to beat the morning rush on the Sea-to-Sky Highway.

Host Tip: For the easiest experience, we recommend Cypress Mountain for its vast terrain, or Grouse Mountain if you want to take the famous Skyride gondola right from the base!"
