Vancouver Direct Rentals
Welcome to Vancouver Direct Rentals. By booking directly with us, you are entering into a professional agreement designed to ensure a high-quality experience for you and the preservation of our boutique homes.
1. Booking and Rental Agreement
- Signature Requirement: To finalize your reservation, a formal rental agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking.
- Identification: Access instructions will only be released once the signed agreement and a valid government-issued ID have been received.
- Failure to Comply: We reserve the right to cancel any reservation if the agreement is not signed within the 48-hour window.
2. Strict Cancellation Policy
We operate a firm cancellation policy to ensure the stability of our calendar. No exceptions will be made for weather, flight changes, or personal circumstances.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.
- 100% Refund: Guests must cancel within 24 hours of booking, provided the check-in date is at least 30 days away.
- 50% Refund: Cancellations made at least 29 days before the scheduled check-in date.
- No Refunds: Cancellations made within 28 days of the check-in date are strictly non-refundable.
3. House Rules and Compliance
We take the comfort of our neighbors and the integrity of our homes seriously.
- No Parties/Events: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for noise disturbances or unauthorized gatherings.
- Non-Smoking: All properties are 100% smoke-free (including balconies and patios). A $500 specialized cleaning fee will be applied for any violations.
- Pets: We maintain hypoallergenic standards; no pets are permitted.
- Occupancy: Only the guests listed on the booking are permitted on-site.
4. Immediate Eviction Clause
If any of the House Rules and Safety policies are not respected:
- The reservation will be ended immediately.
- Guests will be asked to leave the property with no refund for the remaining nights of the stay.
5. Liability, Damage & Key Policy
- Guest Responsibility: The primary guest assumes full responsibility for any damage to the property or its contents caused by their party.
- Key & Fob Replacement: To maintain building security, the following fees apply immediately upon loss:
- Lost Key: $50 CAD per key.
- Lost Building Fob: $250 CAD per fob (covers strata administration and reprogramming).
- Security Holds: A security deposit authorization may be placed on your credit card prior to arrival.
Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection
We collect only the essential information required to process your booking: name, contact details, and payment information.
2. Secure Payments
All financial transactions are handled via PCI-compliant third-party gateways (Stripe/Hostaway). We do not store full credit card details on our servers.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your data. Information is shared only with necessary service providers (cleaning crews for scheduling) or as required by City of Vancouver short-term rental compliance laws.
4. Communication
By booking, you consent to receive essential stay-related communications, including your Digital Guidebook and check-in instructions.
